Who Are the Lions? Lions members are people just like you and me. They are men and women who care about their communities and the world around them.
The International Association of Lions Clubs is the largest of all the service organizations with over 1.4 million members worldwide and it was founded in 1917.
Who Are the Columbus Northern Lions?
We were chartered in 1949, and we have been serving the Columbus and Clintonville communities ever since. During that time, we have raised and distributed well over $500,000.00 in contributions back into our community.
Welcome to the Ohio State School for the Blind.
The first public school in the United States for the education of Blind and Visually Impaired students, OSSB welcomes more than 100 students each year to our campus in Columbus, Ohio. We use Expanded Core Curriculum in our classrooms and offer students opportunities to learn and growth socially and emotionally in a safe environment through extra-curricular activities.

Karis’ Cause came to be on Labor Day weekend 2014, when two-year-old Karis was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. We’ll never forget that night at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH), when the doctor told us the news. We realized this was a journey, a family should not take alone. While spending forty days in NCH, Karis and her entire family had so much support from others. One day, while we were sitting in the family lounge on the 12th floor, eating some home cooked food provided by a family friend, we thought we needed to help others. In addition to Karis having good health, we wanted something good to come out of her journey. As you can probably guess, we named our group “Karis’ Cause”, because without Karis, and her amazing courage, we wouldn’t have had the motivation to start this volunteer group.
Flying Horse Farms makes it possible for children with serious illnesses to heal, grow, and thrive.
We start by making sure kids are physically safe at camp, so they can focus on fun. We understand that children with serious illnesses have special needs from diets to devices. Addressing those needs comes before anything else.
We also make sure they’re mentally and emotionally safe because that’s what builds confidence. Kids at Flying Horse Farms get the opportunity to freely explore interests and passions in a way they’ve never experienced, and get psychosocial, trauma informed support from on-site child life specialists.
Caring for the People of Clintonville and Beyond
“The good we secure for ourselves is precarious and uncertain until it is secured for all of us and incorporated into our common life. ” – Jane Addams
In times of adversity, it’s important to know that someone cares. At the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center (CRC), we help those in need in our community. Through the generous support of our caring citizens and businesses, we provide assistance through our food pantry, child and youth programs, senior services, and kinship care program. Whether it’s a helping hand during hard times, or helping people get the support they need through referrals to other services in our network, CRC keeps our community strong by ensuring that all individuals and families become self-sufficient.
You can help us in this important work, whether it is volunteering your time, sharing a financial donation, organizing a food drive or spreading the news about the work we’re doing to make the community a better place.
